Dignity in Life Award
Established in 2011, the recipient of the Dignity in Life Award is a dedicated advocate for life, committed to driving positive change within the pro-life movement. Our honorees—ranging from politicians and local leaders to pro-life ambassadors, medical professionals, and clergy—embody the ideals of compassion and advocacy. Each past, present, and future recipient exemplifies what it means to be a true champion for the voices of the unborn.
Dignity in Life Award Recipient
Retired Major General Patrick Brady
One of only 60 living Medal of Honor recipients, Major General Brady is a true American hero. A Vietnam War Dustoff pilot who flew over 2,500 combat missions and received the Distinguished Service Cross, he single-handedly rescued more than 50 wounded soldiers in a single day. His example — of running toward danger, not away from it, in service of others — embodies our mission: that every life is worth fighting for.
Defender of Life Award
The Defender of Life Award, established in 2023, honors those in Texas and nationwide who courageously protect the gift of life. As challenges to unborn lives grow, this award recognizes leaders in legislative advocacy, courtroom battles, and pro-life media. These Defenders of Life serve as vital role models for young people, steadfast in their commitment to safeguard every baby—God’s precious gifts.
Defender of Life Award Recipient
Dr. Blake Weidaw
As Medical Director of the JPII Life Center, Dr. Weidaw has served as a cornerstone of the JPII Life Center and Vitae Clinic since 2017, delivering over 1,800 babies with medical excellence and a deep commitment to the dignity of every life, born and unborn.
Defender of Life Award
The Defender of Life Award, established in 2023, honors those in Texas and nationwide who courageously protect the gift of life. As challenges to unborn lives grow, this award recognizes leaders in legislative advocacy, courtroom battles, and pro-life media.
