About the JPII Life Center

Our History

In 2010, our co-founders, Tim & Pat Von Dohlen and Chris & Sheri Danze, envisioned a center and clinic that would provide for the medical, emotional, and practical needs of women and families facing unexpected pregnancies. 15 years later, our Center continues to grow and serve more families across Central Texas than ever before, providing education and care for life.

Linda Ruf serves as CEO of the St. John Paul II Life Center and Vitae Clinic. With a background as a CPA , 20 years of non-profit service, and former Executive Vice President of Development for Relevant Radio, Linda combines financial expertise, nonprofit leadership, and a deep commitment to life-affirming education and care. She is also a member of the Heartbeat International Board of Directors. Linda and husband, Ben have been married for 44 years, have six children and six grandchildren.

As Director of Client Services, Sandra equips clients with the support and resources they need to become the best mothers they can be. Being part of the St. John Paul II Life Center is more than a job—it’s a calling to be the hands and feet of Christ.

Raised in a close-knit Catholic family, Sandra learned the values of love, charity, human dignity, moral integrity and community. Marriage and motherhood deepened her faith and gave new purpose to her life. After diverse work experiences, she felt called to support and encourage women in their parenting journey—loving and serving one family at a time is her way of thanking the Lord for His blessings.

Scott Schaefer, Chief Financial Officer, has been providing finance and accounting leadership to companies in many different industries and of all sizes for over 35 years. Scott is the father of five children and grandfather of three grandchildren. He happily brings his years of experience to the St. John Paul II Life Center and Vitae Clinic to help promote a culture of life.
